ALE400 AUDIO CENTER = 1625Hz
ALE400 SCANNING SPEED = 4 SECONDS PER CHANNEL
ALE400 MAXIMUM SOUNDING DURATION = 30 SECONDS
ALE400 NORMAL SOUNDING REPETITION = 60 MINUTES
Note 1

All Amateur Radio ALE channels use "USB" Upper SideBand (including frequencies below 10MHz). USB conforms to International Standards for Automatic Link Establishment, and enables interoperability.
Note 2

The ALE400 channel list is for international, regional, and local use in the Amateur Radio service. ALE channels are frequency coordinated and subject to the different rules, regulations, and bandplans of the region and local country of operation. It is the responsibility of every operator to maintain the highest standards for all transmissions. Some channels or modes in the list may not be available in every country. The HF spectrum is a shared resource, so there is no guarantee that a channel is clear in a local area or region.
Note 3

Amateur ALE400 standards:
1. ALE System= Non-Standard (8FSK - 400Hz Bandwidth)
2. If repetitive sounding, transmit soundings only on the Pilot Channels for your IARU Region.
3.
Calling or sounding transmission: Maximum Duration = 30 seconds.
4. Sounding Interval= 60 Minutes (or more) for same channel.
5.
If sounding, use This Was (TWS) Sound.
6.
Scan rate: 4 seconds per channel when scanning 7 channels or less.
7. Digi Texting Audio Centre Frequency=  1625Hz
8.
Send CQ Call = Netcall to "HFL" net
9. Always transmit "CLEAR LINK" after ALL CALLS, QSOs, and LINKS!
Note 4 Amateur ALE Net Calls - Click here for complete ALE Net Name Listing
1. HFL = Open CQ - Request Reply - Calling Any Station (10 slots, users randomly assign self to any slot)
2.
QRZ = Open CQ with Quick Request Reply - Any Station (3 slots, users randomly assign self to any slot)
3. HAM = EMERGENCY and Disaster Relief Only, Interoperation between Ham-NGO-GOV (10 slots assigned) (Limited Net)
4. GPR = Open, Geo Position Reports (3 slots, users randomly assign self to any slot). Please use TWS for GPR net.

5. RPT = Open Station Status Reporting (
3 slots, users randomly assign self to any slot). Please always use TWS for RPT net.
6.
HFN = High Frequency Network - Limited Net (10 slots. Slots 2-10 are HFN stations. All users assign Self in slot #1 only)
Note 5*

The 5MHz channels' use and frequencies may vary in each country. Although 5MHz ALE transmissions are authorised in some countries, USA does not yet allow it on 5MHz. Therefore, operators in USA may receive monitor the 5MHz channels, but care should be taken to lock out the transmitter from making ALE transmissions (except in case of an Emergency). See your country's rules.
Note 6

HFLINK is an international resource: for radio operators using ALE Automatic Link Establishment and Selcall Selective Calling; for the  development of communications for organisations, Emergency / Relief networks; and for the development of ALE operating methods applicable to Amateur Radio Service.
